Things To Do In Dublin, Ohio – July 2013

Dublin in July is sure to be a great time for everyone from the kids to grandma! Dublin is a booming city, conveniently located on the northwest edge of Columbus, the state’s capital, and is sure to please this summer! Here are some of the upcoming events for Dublin:

Dublin Farmers’ Market

When: Every Wednesday,  3:00 – 6:00 PM, rain or shine

Where: The parking lot of Oakland Nursery

Independence Day Celebration

When: Thursday, July 4

Where: Dublin, Ohio

What: Celebration of our nation’s independence including a parade, family events, fireworks, and more! Food vendors will be on site including RKP Vending offers funnel cakes, snow cones and popcorn, Whole World Lemonade, Giant Concessions offers iced tea, lemon chills, brats, hot dogs and burgers, Dublin Dairy Queen, Guiseppe’s Italian Ice. Guests are encouraged to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages.

8:00 AM: Sherm Sheldon Fishing Derby at the Community Recreation Center Pond

9:00 AM: Inflation Celebration – Watch giant parade balloons come alive – at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Parking Lot – Metro Center

10:00 AM: Dublin Wind Symphony, Grounds at the Dublin Community Church

11:00 AM: City of Dublin Independence Day Parade, Metro Center through Historic Dublin

Evening Celebration at Dublin Coffman High School Football Stadium

4:00 PM: Skyhoundz Hyperflite Canine Frisbee Disc Championship registration

4:30 PM: Gates open, Children’s area opens; two free activities for kids, face painting and patriot temporary tattoos at two locations in the north area of the stadium, other kids events and games require tickets

5:00 PM: Emerald City Swing Orchestra

9:50 PM: Fireworks

The Coffman Homestead

When: Sunday July 7, 2013 1:00 – 4:00 PM

Where: The Fletcher Coffman Homestead in Dublin

What: The Fletcher Coffman Homestead in Dublin, typifies American farm life of the 1800’s. The Civil War era brick house and adjoining farm buildings are a testimonial to the hard working people who constituted the second generation of Ohio pioneer families. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.

30th annual DAC Sundays at Scioto Summer Concert Series

When: Sunday evenings, 7:00 – 8:30 PM, June 9 through July 28

Where: Scioto Park, 7377 Riverside Drive Dublin

What: Picnics and lawn chairs are welcomed. Concerts are free of charge; donations are graciously accepted. This showcase for local and regional performing artists includes something for almost every musical taste, from Latin salsa to big band swing and country rock.
